History came to life as Miss Botswana 2026, Magdeline Angel Modipane, joined Miss Namibia 2025, Johanna Swartbooi, and the Miss Namibia Top 10 finalists on a visit to Goodhope Farm in the Charles Hill District.

The delegation had the unique opportunity to learn about “Stanley’s Classic Chevrolet,” the historic vehicle that transported Namibia’s Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma, from Namibia to Botswana in March 1960. The vehicle stands as a powerful symbol of courage, resilience, and the enduring connection between the people of Botswana and Namibia during a pivotal moment in Southern African history.

More than a historical visit, the experience offered a meaningful reflection on the shared journey of two neighbouring nations whose stories have long been intertwined. It highlighted the bonds of friendship, solidarity, and mutual support that continue to strengthen relations between Botswana and Namibia today.

As the queens and finalists walked through this living piece of history, they were reminded that the future is often built upon the sacrifices, partnerships, and memories of those who came before us. The visit served as a celebration of a shared heritage and a testament to the enduring ties that unite the two nations across generations.
