Miss World Botswana proudly honoured Ms. Naseem Lahri in a special moment of appreciation and gratitude for her continued support and contribution towards the growth of pageantry and the promotion of Botswana’s image through the organization’s Beautiful Botswana story.

During the special presentation, Ms. Lahri was officially gifted and presented with her Honorary Award after being unable to attend the Miss Botswana 2026 Grand Finale held on the 22nd of March 2026.

In recognition of her unwavering support and patronage, Ms. Lahri was also ceremoniously sashed as Miss Botswana Grand Patron of the Crown 2026, a title symbolizing her dedication to empowering the Miss Botswana brand and uplifting Botswana’s cultural and tourism narrative through pageantry.

Receiving the honour, Ms. Lahri expressed heartfelt gratitude and reaffirmed the importance of the partnership between Miss Botswana and Lucara Botswana.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart, on behalf of Lucara Botswana, thank you for the lovely gift. I believe the partnership is given, looking at what we are developing through Miss Botswana.

We are raising ambassadors through this process. We’re cultivating the essence and culture of young Botswana women, beautiful, smart women that will take the message of Botswana across,” said Naseem Lahri.

Speaking on behalf of the organization, Benjamin Raletsatsi highlighted the significance of the longstanding relationship between Miss Botswana and Lucara Botswana.

“We’re very thankful for the relationship that we’ve had with Lucara. We don’t take anything for granted. This has been the most consistent relationship that we have and it has proven itself over the years. This sash means you are now part of the Miss Botswana family,” he said. 

Reigning Magdeline Modipane also paid tribute to Ms. Lahri’s impact and leadership, applauding her dedication to community upliftment and empowering Batswana.

“I believe today we’re not only honouring a remarkable leader, we’re celebrating a leader that reflects the true essence of leadership, community service, community upliftment, and touching the lives of Batswana.

I truly appreciate your work. As a committed and purpose-driven young woman inspired by leadership that uplifts communities and touches lives, your work will truly get me going as I continue my reign. I hope this partnership continues and creates a much more tangible and meaningful impact,” said Magdeline Modipane.
