Gaborone, Botswana – Miss Botswana, in collaboration with ABICOB, is pleased to announce the districts that have secured the franchise licence for the 2026 Miss Botswana Pageant. The following 7 districts have been awarded the franchise licence:
1. Bobirwa
2. Boteti
3. Kgatleng
4. North East
5. Palapye
6. Selebi Phikwe
7. Tutume
This decentralization of the Miss Botswana Pageant aims to promote inclusion and facilitate community participation in the program. To ensure the successful execution of the franchise, Abicob and Miss Botswana have guided the districts to implement the program in three phases:
• Phase 1: Stakeholder engagement
• Phase 2: Auditions (districts to align audition dates with the Grand Finale)
• Phase 3: Grand Finale (where possible, partners to integrate beauty expos)
As part of the franchise requirements, all District Partners are expected to attend a compulsory training session scheduled for 14-16 August in Gaborone.
The following District Partners have confirmed their Grand Finale dates:
1. Kgatleng – 6th September
2. Palapye – 13th September
3. North East (Masunga) – 19th September
4. Tutume – 20th September
5. Boteti – 21st September
6. Bobirwa – 26th September
7. Selebi Phikwe – 27th September
Nationwide Auditions for Remaining Districts
For districts that have not secured a franchise licence, Miss Botswana will be conducting auditions starting from October. This is an opportunity for young women from all districts to participate in the pageant and showcase their talents. We encourage interested individuals from districts not listed above to stay tuned for audition dates and details in their respective areas.
This initiative is set to bring excitement and opportunities to the participating districts, and we look forward to crowning the next Miss Botswana 2026.
