The curtains have closed on a remarkable reign, as Miss Botswana 2024, Anicia Gaothusi, took her final walk on the 22nd of March 2025 at the Grand Palm GICC. Crowned on the 23rd of March 2024, Gaothusi has served with grace, passion, and unwavering dedication, leaving an indelible mark on the Miss Botswana legacy.
As she prepares to represent Botswana at the Miss World Festival from the 7th to the 31st of May 2025, the nation looks back at the journey of a queen who embodied unity and purpose.
In her heartfelt farewell speech, Gaothusi expressed deep gratitude to the people of Botswana, her family, and most importantly, the Miss Botswana organization for their unwavering support throughout her reign.
“Though my time as Miss Botswana comes to an end, my mission does not end here. I now step forward as Miss World Botswana, ready to continue representing my country with pride and purpose,” said Gaothusi, reaffirming her commitment to making a lasting impact on the global stage.
Throughout her reign, Anicia Gaothusi was a beacon of unity, using her Beauty With A Purpose project, Lights, to educate communities about basic First Aid practices.
Her project not only empowered individuals with life-saving skills but also fostered a sense of togetherness, as she worked tirelessly to bring people together under a common cause. Her dedication to service and advocacy ensured that her impact extended far beyond the pageant stage.
