This powerful regional initiative shines a spotlight on the intergenerational impact of conflict-related sexual violence, a deeply rooted issue that continues to affect women and girls across Africa.
As a national symbol of grace and leadership, Ruth brings both visibility and an authentic voice to the movement. On the 3rd of December 2025, Ruth Thomas will take part in a high-level session themed “Fashion, Media and Social Networks: Modern Tools for Awareness and Advocacy.” This discussion will explore how creative industries and digital platforms can be used to challenge harmful norms, drive positive messaging, and mobilise communities for meaningful change. As a modern queen, Ruth represents the dynamic blend of influence, compassion, and impact—qualities essential for building a safer future for every woman.
