Miss World Botswana, 2024, Anicia Gaothusi departs on Tuesday, 6th May 2025 to represent Botswana at the prestigious 72nd Miss World Festival set to take place from 7th to 31st May 2025 at Telangana, India.
This is more than a departure, it is the beginning of a global chapter for Botswana, one written by young women whose strength, elegance and unwavering commitment to serve make her a beacon of home for many.
Anicia follows in the powerful footsteps of queens before her who represented our nation at the Miss World stage including Palesa Molefe and Lesego Chombo who came as Miss World Africa 2024 and now the Honourable Minister of Youth and Gender Affairs, their journey continues to inspire a new wave of purposeful leadership among young women across our nation. Just like her predecessor, Anicia is ready to raise the Botswana flag high and proudly carry the values, culture and dreams of our people to the world stage.
A proud Motswana born in Molepolole raised in various corners of Botswana from Tutume and Kasane, Anicia Gaothusi is not just a queen, but a reflection of the nation’s spirit. Her Beauty With A Purpose project, LIGHTS, is a national call to action focused on improving access to primary healthcare and equipping citizens with essential First Aid and emergency response skills. It is a cause that honors her grandmother’s legacy as a nurse and resonates with Anicia’s heartfelt desire to serve and uplift.
