PROJECT DESCRIPTION; advocacy for abused /neglected children in households from as early as 5 years to 18 ,being the exit age .
BACKGROUND OF TENDER TREASURES:
●an experience i encountered at 9 years of age in Maun
▪︎A six years friendship that i lived in and witnessed as my friend or sister was being mistreated but failed to report due to fear of retribution or loyalty Conflict .
●a 21 years friendship and cousinship witness of mistreatment

MISSION ; create a legacy and facilitate the implementation of children empowerment against abuse, negligence and abandonment no matter the background.
VISION; creating a caring ,loving and secured environment atmosphere for every child with assurance, happiness, protection, support and purpose to live.

OBJECTIVES
1.Finding out the causes of child abuse/Negligence
2.Effects of child abuse/neglect in the society
3.Strategies/possible ways,solutions to reduce or minimise child abuse/neglect.
THEME OF THE DAY: Tender Treasures in action to address psychosocial support for child protection.


WHAT WE OFFER AND TEACH

●providing tools to confront abuse and thrive as contributing members of compassionate communities.

LOOPHOLE/ PROBLEM STATEMENT
There is no sos or a safe structure in chobe constituency and there is a shortage of staff in this area of department hence children or survivors are forced to be transferred to other locations tse eleng gore di kgakala, and even at those holistic Shelters,in most cases they are always flocked leaving no space for bana ba ba tswang kgakala /konte hence these survivors are forced to come back a bo ba helelwa ba kopelwa bonno mo the closest of family members without any protection assessment.

STRATEGIES TENDER TREASURES INTENDS TO LOOK INTO IN ORDER TO REDUCE CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT.
•Establish community based support networks which offers childcare, food and housing.
•Implement policies that promote work-life balance e.g flexible hours and paid parental leave
• raise awareness and education through hosting workshops and outreach programmes, partnership with schools and organisations, lastly encouraging open discussions
•foster care training programmes

SUMMARY
Tender Treasures intends to work with all stakeholders that deals with nurturing and protection of children’s rights being ;
●social worker’s
●police officers
●educators
●NGO’s and other organisations
●healthcare providers
●community leaders
●Government Agencies
● counsellor’s and psychologist

Lastly but not least Doners and sponsers to build this safe haven or rehabilitation centre in the Chobe Constituency .
In addition ,when these children turn 18, Tender Treasures plans to transition them from care by enrolling them in skills development forums ,empowerment programmes and connecting them to social platforms where they can continue to grow, learn, and prepare for independent living. These opportunities such as:

1. Vocational Training and Certification
2. Mentorship Programs
3. Financial Literacy and Independence
4. Job Placement Assistance
5. Life Skills Workshops
6. Counseling and Mental Health Support
7. Housing support
8. Community Engagement
By combining these elements, Tender Treasures can ensure that young adults are fully equipped to navigate the challenges of independence and success.
