This past Saturday, the Aesthetics & Beauty Industry Council of Botswana (ABICOB) in collaboration with Miss Botswana, hosted an insightful and empowering Zaron Cosmetics Brunch at Protea by Marriott, Gaborone Masa Square. The event brought together beauty professionals, makeup artists, and industry leaders to engage in vital discussions about the future of Botswana’s beauty and aesthetics industry.

At the forefront of this initiative is ABICOB, a regulatory body dedicated to advancing, professionalizing, and developing the local beauty sector. ABICOB’s mission revolves around six core pillars: advocacy, business development, innovation, collaboration, opportunities, and beauty standards. The organization is committed to representing and protecting the interests of beauty professionals while driving industry growth through education, partnerships, and ethical practices.

The event was graced by Zaron Cosmetics, one of Africa’s fastest-growing Black-owned beauty brands. Michelle Amen, a representative from Zaron Cosmetics, delivered an insightful presentation on their inclusive beauty and skincare line, specially formulated for people of color. Her talk emphasized representation, innovation, and brand longevity, inspiring beauty professionals and entrepreneurs to embrace ethical, inclusive, and forward-thinking approaches in the industry.

In a groundbreaking announcement, Zaron Cosmetics confirmed that their products will soon be available in retail stores across Botswana. This milestone marks a major step in making high-quality, inclusive beauty products more accessible to Batswana.

The success of the Zaron Cosmetics Brunch highlights the growing influence and transformation of Botswana’s beauty sector. With ABICOB’s leadership and Miss Botswana’s commitment to empowering local talent, the industry is set to flourish, innovate, and compete on a global stage. A heartfelt thank you to our guests, speakers, and partners for making this event a success. The future of Botswana’s beauty industry is brighter than ever, and this is just the beginning.
