On the 30th of August 2025 at Adansonia Hotel in Francistown, Miss Universe Botswana 2024 Dr. Thanolo Keutlwile passed her crown to Lilian Nompumelelo Andries, a 30-year-old geologist from Ramotswa. Lilian is no stranger to the pageantry stage, she represented Botswana at Miss Grand International in 2014 and has since built a career as an entrepreneur and philanthropist.

Her story reflects resilience and faith. At 19, she stood tall on the Miss Grand International stage in Thailand, gaining lessons that shaped her journey, life’s responsibilities took her in other directions, but the revision of the Miss Universe age requirements reignited her dream. A decade later, Lilian returns to the stage, ready to represent Botswana at the 74th Miss Universe in Bangkok, Thailand this November.

Joining her on this journey are her Princesses: Dabilo Moses, crowned Miss Universe Botswana 1st Princess, and Wangu Modise, crowned Miss Universe Botswana 2nd Princess. Together, they form a trio of strong ambassadors for Botswana.

Beyond the crown, Lilian has committed herself to service. She has worked with initiatives such as Moabi Charity and Courage Unleashed, offering mentorship, free tuition services, and support to communities across Botswana. Through Miss Universe, she aims to amplify her impact and continue serving with purpose.

As we celebrate Margaret’s return and Lilian’s new chapter, we stand proud as a nation. Botswana’s queens continue to raise the flag high, showing the world that beauty and leadership thrive here.

Congratulations to the newly crowned Miss Universe Botswana 2025, Lilian Nompumelelo Andries!
